Which vehicles does it fit?

™ is specifically designed to fit your camper van, be it a Split Screen, Type 2 Bay or Type 25. It will also fit the Mazda Bongo and most vans with a rain gutter.

How does it fit?

Depending upon your vehicle and personal preference, we offer both the Pole and Clamp and the Figure of 8 channel methods:

Pole and Clamp method - a 3 piece sectional aluminium pole is slipped inside a sleeve sewn into the awning, dropped into the gutter and held securely in place with three foam lined gutter clamps.   

Figure 8 Channel method - utilizes a piped edge on the awning which slides into a 3 piece plastic figure of 8 extrusion which then clips to the gutter.

Which method will work best with my camper?

Split screens tend to have a shallow gutter and the figure 8 channel can slip off, therefore, the pole and clamp method is advisable.

Bay Windows – both methods work well. If you have a 68-74 Devon elevating roof, the pole may not fit in the gutter. Our own Bay is a 1970 model with a Devon roof and we have found that if you shift the roof over a fraction, it is perfectly possible to use the pole. However, if your roof doesn’t have much give, then go with the figure 8 method instead.

Type 25’s – the pole and clamp works best. Some models can accept the figure 8 channel but if yours features any form of beading, this may prevent the use of the Figure 8 Channel.

If you think that your bus will take either method, then we recommend you use the pole and clamp option.

• 1 x shower proof nylon canopy measuring 2.4m x 2.4m / 7ft 10” x 7ft 10”
• 2 x 3 piece adjustable steel upright poles  - extendable from 1.83m to 2.15m / 6ft to 7ft 1”
• 1 x three piece sectional aluminium pole and 3 foam lined gutter clamps or 3 x Fig 8 pieces 
• 4 x guy lines with runners
• 4 x steel pegs
• 1 x nylon accessories bag
• 1 x nylon holdall

Length in holdall 90cm / 3ft approx

What colours are available?

™ is offered as standard in either White or Royal Blue – as these two colours appear to work well with most VW colour schemes.

Are other colours available?

Yes!  Other colours offered are

RED, NAVY BLUE, BLACK, DARK GREEN, OLIVE GREEN, MAROON, FLUORESCENT YELLOW, FLUORESCENT ORANGE

How do I order?

Simply order on-line using the easy ordering page or if you prefer a more personal approach then contact us direct to discuss your requirements. If you prefer, we can take payment over the telephone using either Visa or Visa Mastercard.  Or send us a cheque for the full amount, made payable to Original Lizard.

How long will my order take?

If you order one of our standard colours, delivery should be 7-10 working days from receipt of order. Other colours will take approximately 14 working days. Rush orders are possible at extra cost, so please call us to discuss. Delivery is via Parcel Force 48 hour service.
